Instead Of A Baby Photoshoot It’s A Puppy! This Is Absolute Perfection.

Who wants a newborn baby when you have a perfect Jack Russell terrier named Snuggles?

Jan and Chase Renegar, a married couple from Huntsville, AL, recently had stereotypical newborn photographs taken. The twist? They substituted Snuggles for their nonexistent child in the photographs.

The Renegars, bringing a whole new meaning to the phrase “proud parents,” mocked the classic photograph set ups with hilarious poses featuring man’s best friend.

Jamie Clauss, the photographer, was excited at the unique opportunity to combine her two areas of expertise,  newborn and pet photography.

The session was meant to be tongue-in-cheek, a visual take on how we humanize our pets…So, we decided to do some cliche newborn poses, but with a furry spin. Of course, no dogs were harmed in this shoot, but she did get a cozy nap.

And tongue-in-cheek it was. Snuggles can be seen wrapped in a swaddling cloth and a pink headband, taking a nap while nestled between his loving owners.

The Renegars refer to Snuggles as their “little furry-four-legged baby.”

Statistics reveal that the number of babies being born to women ages 15 to 29 has dropped significantly, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

At the same time, the number of dogs owned by US women has increased, according to Quartz.
