17-year-old Jack Walton did something plenty of teenagers do: he went somewhere without telling his parents. Unlike kids who sneak out to get into trouble, however, Mr. Walton went to an audition for the English hit show The X Factor.
According to ITV.com, he “turned up for his auditions without telling his parents what he was doing, because he didn’t want to get their hopes up if his Room Audition didn’t go well.”
His display of cool-headed, humble confidence matched with a strong cover of the Mr. Probz ballad “Waves” won the approval of the judges, including Simon Cowell. We think his parents will be pretty proud.
